Astatic coax?

Sure, if it says 'Belden' on the wire...lol Are you talking about that stuff they sell on eBay? Would you risk losing a few db on a 100 ft run? The one I wouldn't buy is the RG 58 for 100 ft.

I think JEFA Tech has some really good base cable w/a low velocity factor that will make you a custom length for a pretty fair price. Pretty snappy stuff from what I can tell without using it. Thei cable has better specs than a few brands do. Just remember that this is solid core and doesn't handle a lot of constant bending - but it is 25% more in price - approx. 50 ft is $52 and 75 ft is $66..

  • @ Geoexplorer69:
Coax question. I just put up a new Sirio monsoon base antenna with 100’ of rg8u coax testing with myMFJ antenna analyzer shows 1.4 swr at 26.965mhz and a 1.1 at 27.405 mhz . When I checked the ohms it’s steady a 30 ohms across the entire bandwidth.

Is 30 ohms worth worrying about in a 100’ run of rg8u ?
