AT-6666 PRO Update! Firmware + PC Alignment tool + PC Software

Also noticed that TXNR in the software has Off and level 1~5. But after writing back to the radio, the TXNR on the radio only shows level 1~5 (no off option).

That's how mine is on the radio itself. You can turn off the NR from the button on the front but it's for both rx and tx not independently. In the menu it's only levels 1-5 and both on or off from the front button. It's kind of odd.

TXNR is turned OFF on the radio itself, by pressing the NRC button while holding PTT (during TX).

So, it can be set independent of RXNR.

Anxiously awaiting the Radioddity QT80 software release before I give this a try. Maybe Radioddity might throw in a few other tweaks into their version, and I don't want to jeopardize my warranty if there's any question about it later.

Anyone download the firmware's yet?

I got the Main firmware installed and it took but the DSP firmware won't open up in the downloaded software.

This is what I get in the pics below trying to install the DSP firmware, the error box says "?? .spi ????"

Anyone else get the same?

OK, I fixed my problem. Turned out the RAR file extractor software I used didn't work with the DSP update for some reason. I took a chance and used a free APP from the Micro-shaft store called Unarchiver One from Trend Micro and it worked perfectly!

One thing Pez didn't mention is the latest 2.05 programming software is only in the firmware zip file to download to your PC from there. The Anytone download page only links the older 2.02 version.

Pez has been great though keeping us all informed on this radio.

I do like the separate color for TX, this is a good feature with the new firmware and I'll check out the others too.

1 - Download the entire RAR file again from the website.

2 - Extract into a new location.

3 - Try the process again (and don't move the files around, I notice that you have the H and DSP files in the same folder. This is not how they come, they are supposed to be in their own folders. There are hidden files in each folder that you probably lost or overwrote when you moved things around. This is why you are seeing the .spi error.

Ah - ships in the night. Good you have it sorted.

The factory does not want to release the v2.05 on its own (yet), because the 90% of users who don't upgrade can't use v2.05 and will have trouble.

It was done on purpose. (The idea is that if you are smart enough to upgrade the firmware, you should be smart enough to find the v2.05 included in the files ;) )

Are the new radios being shipped with the new firmware? And does this also go for the radioddity versions which presumably are coming off the same assembly line? If so, I’m buying another QT80 like today!

Hi all,

A new version of the PC Alignment tool V1.03 will be available for download on the AnyTone website soon. The updates are:

1 - UL SQ "8" updated to "9"

2 - Compatibility with CH34x USB programming cable drivers has been improved.

Is there a Pro 2 version going to come out already?
