last week noise started showing up on frequncys i use. unhooked everything in house, still s6 noise from 146.430 to 146.85. highest is between 460 n 475. any how i get in my pickup n half mile away from home n HOLY CRAP WORSE. i take a drive n deeper i get into the wind towers they erected 3/4 mile east of me noise increases very bad. i only drove 2 miles in the middle of em n s9 on 460 to 475.
ive had trouble with the people when they installed them. some thought my farm was theirs too. took forever to get that resolved
my question? bypass the wind tower people n file complaint with fcc?
if so any body got the right phone number to call or who should i contac?
something going bad cause they been on line almost a year.
but i even cut lectric off at home n ht as well as radio in my pickup was same grinding noise level in my drive way. oh am radio for music forget that completely too

I would try to find out who owns the machines, dig up a number and start there.
Let them know that they are causing interference to a licensed radio service.
You can contact FCC and it's your right to do so.
All of the contact info can be found here
I can tell you from personal experiences that the wheels grind slow at the FCC regarding enforcement, you might have better luck with the company running the wind farm.
Are there any other ops in the area ?
If you can get more users behind you to phone in or email the company it helps get there attention.

im only operator for 15
miles.
it took me a full year to get settlement from the wind tower people when they decided to cut my fence let cows out so they could use my land without consent.it took attorny n time but he did get em off my place. and id say the noise im getting be swept under the table like the fence thing. they had the audacity to tell me to my face they could do what they want to do. sorry dont work that way if you dont sign up for them.
but this is bad. i listen to am news radio n thats a no go too got to ask the few neighbors about their am too. its sparsely populated here nearest neighbor is a mile away

Sad to hear.
If it is wiping out AM broadcast that's a problem.
Try the FCC enforcement route.

talked to a neighbor by the loudest wind tower. his am broadcast is noise only. he was ready to help via phone calls etc.
then a brain fart came up im friends with a man who has a bit of pull in the company that owns the towers.he might be a good source to get something done as he is a field supervisor for the company.
last nit just to get to a few friends 30 miles away i had to fire up my mirage to simply hear them on 146460 simplex they had great signal but noise was riding in. about time i signed off noise quit but moved up to .480

Forget the company and go to the FCC. It may also help if you contacted the local AM station you listen too and talk to their engineer if they have one or the general manager if they don't. Tell them that their signal cannot be heard due to the noise. They don't like to hear that and will probably help you out in following up on the complaint to the FCC. I spent 22 years in broadcasting and that was indeed our case. Once the commercial broadcasters complain, the wheels start to turn faster.

thank you for that point captain . i think i will call the local am broadcasters today as we got about 7 diffrent am broadcasters within a 50 mile radius. the noise has all am broadcast tied up

wheels set in motion but we got sleet covered roads so its postponed till weather permits a station person to come investigate

These guys checked the length of the wind turbine blade, then calculated it's resonant frequency and multiples it may emit or reflect RF at. Might be revealing to use an RTL-SDR and SDR# free software on a laptop and point a portable yagi at these things. If you're an optimist, there may be frequencies in the spectrum halfway between multiples of the resonant frequency they don't emit or reflect RF at.

these produce dc power carried via underground cable to a centrally located converter building about 4 miles east of me. suprizingly no noise there . ive so far located 2 individual towers that are creating the bad noise by driving around the 15 towers close to me.

I recall seeing these things on on I-80; Iowa or Illinois I think. They would appear in my peripherial vision spinning at the same rate as my forward motion making it seem like I was standing still or moving backwards. Had to squint to drive safetly. If RF's getting out, it may indicate loss of efficiency that may motivate them to correct them as well.
