Base Antenna (apartment) suggestions

Thinking about putting https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/202494553275 with 2 4ft skip shooters on my air conditioner mounted horizontal any thoughts? Just have a 3ft on a mirfrm bracket slapped to the side of it now. Biggest mudduck stuff you've seen in your life gets my fix in slightly until I get my mobile running again. But I'd like to have something that performs a little better and can take some power if I wanted to. May just ask the landlord if I can strap a real base antenna to the chimney when I get a hold of him tell him it's for public service.... Ya know there is a 50amp 240v service in my apartment which could be re purposed for a 1500 tube...

Matt, hang an end fed half wave from a tree or ask the landlord what he will allow. Two of the 4 foot whips on the flat side may be worse than one 3 footer on the vertical. Keep in mind that the flat side would be bidirectional and have a 20 db drop in signal to other locals on the vertical side.

Heres my 7ft skipshooter mounted on my balcony rail bolted down to a quarter inch peace of ssteel.
I have just recently made an extention for this rail mount another foot away from the the building in an attempt to cut down the reflection and it was a success, no rejection as far as my meter can see

Ive gone through every possible option available to me with differant types of cb antennas 3 or 4 times over and the final conclusion is nothing will work the way you want it to in this really bad very limited location.

Ive tried to re,invent the dipole and the delta loop along with the hentenna that all worked well just not suitable for an apartment balcony meaning the more resonant the more reflection so with that being said tried and true the absolute best option for this location is a small mobile antenna or as small as you care to have.

I couldnt use an 8 ft steel whip because it reflected off everything including the balcony above mine

I have a local who lives just a quarter mile from me who has a big 4 element cubical quad beam antenna.
His place faces the back side of this building whole im on the front and when he puts that quad right on me i still cant hear him as well as i should with a 5 pound signal while other locals that are 10 or more miles away walk allover him on my station because of this building between us
