Beware of superhawkwss6 on Ebay

That's gotta be code for selling dope.....or prostitutes....or something other than radio equipment. I mean, I'll pay a stupid high price for something I really want but even I'm amazed at these prices. For the price of 10 radios, I could buy a fully transferable machinegun...

I went and started checking his feedback, seems to be multiple "transactions" with a few different parties, most notably "effinghamradio". Real eye opener to how f****d up Fleabay is.......

Meh, dont hate the guy cuz he's getting his prices. Hate the douchebag willing to pay that price. Ive done similar with radios on ebunk.
My grandmother was a fairly accomplished author and im now collecting one of her 4 book series. A lady on amazon has a copy of one of them for $49 plus shipping for a 120 page childrens book. I tried to make a deal but shes a real bitch so i found a copy elsewhere and shoved it in her face. It was the only other copy i could find . Well now both my kids want copies and im now forced to pay this bitch $49 after i told her to kiss my ass. Im not liking it too much but for the kids ill suck it up.
Anyhow like the used car salesman will tell you, "there's an ass for every seat"

Sometimes I find it necessary to be an ass. I’d tell my kids to share that book. Otherwise I’m donating it to Goodwill or the children’s hospital. Take your pick!

I found this forum when I googled the eBay user ID, superhawkwss6, after having a seller experience with him as a buyer on eBay. Needless to say, my experience was the same as many posters here. He purchased a working CB unit from me, stated that it was "not as described and not working" and then sent it back to me through free returns. It came back with a bent and dented housing (like someone had attempted to pry it open or possibly exchanged the housing from another unit) and was no longer working. He currently has the same model of CB listed on eBay for sale (at an exorbitant price) so I'm sure that he harvested parts from my working CB to fix that unit. I decided to google him because the arrogance in his emails told me that he has a sense of being untouchable and he's probably right in feeling that way since he's been doing underhanded things and getting away with it on eBay since at least 2008. I, too, want to keep this thread alive in the hope that others will not fall prey to this con artist. I am a full time seller who has been selling for 23 years so I know the ins and outs of eBay's customer service protections and it isn't hard to spot a problem buyer. I did get my money back but it incenses me that he most likely got his back as well. I'm doing everything on my end to get eBay to look more closely at his account and cited the various blogs focusing on this user. I know others have done that before as well. I've read through everything here and on 2 other cites. It shouldn't take this much effort to get eBay to realize that this person is a problem for the platform. He honestly doesn't really sell that much (4-8 items a month) so I'm not sure why they continue to let him remain on the site. Hopefully this post helps someone else from getting taken advantage of by this guy.

He got me on a TS-450. I got my money back, but he really soured me. He needs a good old fashioned...............
Just a question from you guys, I have seen many things for sale by this guy all way more than i would pay but according to what his feedback shows he appears to buy a great buyer and seller? He has perfect feedback as a buyer and as a seller?
How is this possible?

The consensus seems to be corruption of some sort.

Any time you see something that obviously wrong it prompts an either/or question. Is this the result of incompetence, or dishonesty? Gotta be one or the other. Any time you hear a politician say something you know is bull$hit this question should come up next.

I have been told never to bet against incompetence, but in this case I suspect he's related to somebody with the authority to give him a pass on his chronic nonsense.

If you sell as parts not working isn't that a protection against returns? That's how I usually sell what I have done in my limited listings. After all, there is really no other to protect against those that hookup wrong or otherwise abuse the equipment and system.

It depends on your description of the item. You can list it as parts/repair but if you put in your description "works as should" or anything that ebay decides to be leading the buyer to think it works as it should it will be covered under ebay 90 seller beware policy.

guess I need to be more careful, but I guess I also have been lucky and sold to honest buyers so far.

Absolutely not. I lost good money on a Palomar 350Z a few years back. Sold it to a guy as "parts only, not working" , even tho it worked perfectly. I thought he'd be happy when he got a great running amp. No, he filed a "not as described" complaint, took the input switch out and sent the amp back without the tubes. I got hosed and he got his money back. I shut down my pay pal and ebay accounts immediately so Ebay couldn't take my money. ebay ATE that one!!
