When the mail service is involves in the middle; it becomes 'mail fraud'. But there are more qualifiers for that call. That can change the scope of the crime going from being prosecuted by local law (state) to include Federal law.

I just was scammed on ebay by this guy and I have been fighting with ebay about what is going on. He bought a Cobra 1000 GTL from me and right away he sent me a message through ebay saying the same thing " It is not as described" when the radio was in great condition. It was my personal radio and I was only selling it because I didn't use it any more. He is sending me THREATENING and terrible emails on ebay. I did a Google search on him and yes I found all kinds on fraud and scams. I hope someone puts an end to this. I will do what I can.

What address did you send it to, and especially what zip code? The postmaster generals office will aggressively prosecute all and any type of mail fraud. Plumbers have a saying, shit runs downhill, Seems like this guy knows eBay is a fangless snake and is taking full advantage. His achilles heel however is using the United States postal service. Let eBay hear about an investigation by the USPS. There's 7 pages here of complaints and some have lost money and goods. Personally, earlier someone mentioned it might be a japanese guy, and from how the guy wrote and spelled his words while laughing at his victims, I'm inclined to believe it's a foreigner. Oh last week I bought a Motorola Triumph on eBay. I used buy it now and thought it would be delivered by 5/10. Last night, 5/13 I opened a case with Paypal. Before that on saturday 5/12 I called eBay and spoke with customer service. Before the conversation ended they asked me if I wanted the sellers phone number so I could talk to him personally. eBay will give you the sellers phone number, how about that! Hmmm a number and a reverse directory and a Louisville Slugger.
