I built an airboat with a Turbocharged Corvair Spider engine, and it was crazy fast. Had it on the water twice and got so much heat from the Fish and Game people. They were telling me it was too fast for the river. This was before the 80 mph bass boats.

I sold the boat to the Fish And Game Department down on the Texas coast. They used it like an interceptor to catch poachers and drug runners. They wanted my permission to build more using my design. I gave my approval of course. They never did as far as I know.

you of had a heck of a idea, there was a guy here making them but at a 30 thousand dollar price tag he didn't last long

The Spider engines were hard to get and and a similar air cooled air craft engines were costly.

Darn it now I have the urge to build another one using ducted fans!

You are not helping! I just got off the Ramen noodle diet for good behavior and a project like this will have me eating them dry again. I would have to finish the sentence the XYL had given me plus any additional she would add on for more budgetary violations!

    So I have a cobra 138xlr and the meter dose not work... It dose not key up and signal dose not work.... It is not stuck it the meter moves freely. now wires are resoldered on both ends...So now that do I look at. Could it be a diode or a transistor?
