Bird meter

Hello guys just acquired a bird meter which elements is best for cb radios I’m just starting out with this meter

I believe the standard frequency slug for CB is 2-30MHz and you just pick the power level you need 50W, 100W, 250W, etc

Nice meter but can get expensive if you need multiple slugs

Either the A or H series of elements will work.

regular 40 channels AM 5 watts,ssb 25 watts or 50 watts for exports, hf 100w on and on

Keep in mind too if you didn't get the 43P it's not peak watts.

Unless you only operate CW and FM, you'll need the PEP kit to measure any power contained in the modulation. People that think "average" watts are the way to measure AM (or SSB) power, haven't read the Bird instructions for the meter or the PEP kit.

Finally got around to my bird meter does anyone know what kind of coax can be used for the meter ?

Mini 8x or 213...whatever works for you that is 50 ohms and handles your power needs.
