Bnc to Grabbers

Has anyone made bnc to grabbers for there frequency counter? if so what type of wire is good for it? thanks.

best just to buy already made. the price of buying the parts will cost that much plus the hassle of putting the BNC connector on the coax is a pain. I just buy all of mine pre made.

Looks like a good deal. Just remember that if you probe an oscillator circuit or crystal directly with this probe the capacitance of the cable will load down the circuit.

There are some test points that won't be disrupted by this cable. But probing a crystal with it will have the same effect as soldering a capacitor to ground at the point where the red clip is connected. Throws off your adjustment, so that the frequency you measured will change when the clip is disconnected.

Some oscillator circuits will simply stop running when this kind of probe is connected.

A counter is a great tool, but not foolproof for every frequency measurement.
