One of the guys that used to cut my hair on the east side of Indy has a nuclear card.
I was mentioning the most famous used shot of the detonation you see movies etc of the blast in the middle of the different war ships in the sea, he was one of many they had on the outer ships that you see engulfed in the lifting spray. I made the comment, surely no one was on any of those ships other than the livestock I've read about, he commented there were and shows me his designation card. I believe that was a small one as well, but he mentioned the shock wave as well. I didn't think to ask if they had repeated volunteers, since you don't know what to really expect.
