Sell them as is they are an expensive repair you won’t get your money back if they at least power up you will get the same return as if you spent the money for a rehab most guys 5at buy them now are folks that do their own work on them and cover them no matter what condition of operation as long as all the parts and pieces are there ie... knobs meters and switches buttons emblems.

I agree about just cleaning them up where they do not have dirt all over the face and covers and see if they just power on. for the Browning radios you will find a lot of guy's will bid on them and pay a good price for the radio. just make sure you put them in for bidding as you get 2 or 3 guy's wanting the radio will take the price up.
I for one like the old 40 channel Teaberry radios and will pay a decent price for one then recap the radio after I get it and then repair any thing that is not working.
you will get a decent price for one sold as parts or repair only but if it does power up and possible TX and RX under the parts and repair item will still get you a decent price..
even some of the old 23 channel Brownings fetch a decent price on ebay.

Nomad will understand. For the rest of you though I'll explain.
Once received the radio comes out of the box and the volume doubles. Although plenty of the parts are on hand there are always some that are not . A general thrashing of all the geriatric 'lytics and the uncommon sense upgrades are straight forward but...

How many times are you fixing the fix that didn't fix the problem that was fixed by not fixing the problem ...

In the mean time another one comes in . This time both boxes and the available space shrinks x4 while the original problem child awaits parts. Then someone hears that you're repairing Brownings and sends both boxes without calling or writing ahead...

It comes down to cubic feet. At a minimum you need a place to stand and work. Many of you just don't understand what a fight it can be just to have a place to stand and work.

Only if you can get the parts to fix them. That's the main reason we stopped fixing handheld radios. Primary thing that goes bad with them is parts that break from being dropped and corroded battery holders. And there's the problem Every external control and antenna is custom. The stock parts you can actually buy just won't fit. And a handheld radio never has the extra room inside to improvise substitute switches, controls or antenna mounts. And an off-the-shelf battery holder almost never fits.
