Building a simple Alternator whine / ignition filter

I found this thread had dead links to the pics and instructions, so I used the Wayback Machine to recreate it. I hope someone finds this helpful!
Before doing this, another cheap trick is just try a .01uf or .02uf cap from the alternator output to gnd, usually its case. Ive had this clear up certain whines or buzzes
