don't know why Wilson stopped making the 6' silverload. it was my favorite glass type antenna and possibly the best sounding.
If properly mounted there is not a mobile CB antenna made that will perform better than the 102" whip. But I've used the 102 whip with the 6 spring for yrs and that thing always amazes me esp DX
Yes I agree it's why it sits on my suvIf properly mounted there is not a mobile CB antenna made that will perform better than the 102" whip.
I do not have an analyzer and wish I did. Havent the money to spend on one right now. I used to have one but sold it because I wasnt using it that much years ago.Have you used an antenna analyzer? Whatever objective technical data you gleam from that testing should be your guide. Just my .02.
88 inches I believe.@captain, how long is the 10k/ 27" shaft tuned out?
My Predator 10K 27in beat out a 108 inch whip with a riser on my Grand Marquis. By a hair but a difference was seen in transmit and receive with a base station 15 miles away. I mean in no way was it done like a tech but what we did it was noticed. It was just a dead key both ways.I like the pred 10k

I have the 9 17 and 27 in Predator shafts, 5 6 and 7 ft skipshooters 108 and 102 in whips used with a riser/adjuster and a 3ft K40 t300. lolA Skipshooter is cheap to buy. I don’t see a conflict as to which. Get both.
Actually its 108 for 11 meters. 102 plus a 6in spring(gulp) or a riser/adjuster usually at least 10in, mine is the 12 in but I don't see any more for sale just the 10.If properly mounted there is not a mobile CB antenna made that will perform better than the 102" whip.
