CDL FLATBED DRIVERS WANTED

@Slowmover 10-4 ive always been a fan of the Farmers Oil outfit they've got some good looking rigs.
I've seen a few monkey boys on the road especially around barsto lmao double dump company truck

I know there’s those that do, but you all MUST be good at getting backhauls.

And theres nothing wrong with that guaranteed minimum — though higher exists — as its $4,675/month. $50k/yr guarantee is better than a lot of guys make. Plenty goes wrong on the road to knock down a week here and a week there. The Devil is in the fine print on meeting the qualifications.

Anyone wants to work for FX, UPS or Wally (or similar) is welcome to it. Years of doing that and there’s no one home at the end of it.

As this is a radio forum, it’s a decent place to set up every truck. All of them need real help on a proper installation of DC power + quality Coax and some RF Bonding.

An SSB radio should be able to get out. That reasonable distance is via the tests on the OPs own tractor (right?)

The 579 Pete’s I’ve been in are slowly becoming better.

My body took a beating too. I was a stick hauler for a good many years way back then. 25 to 40 stops was normal. Cabover trucks beat the heck out of my back. When I got in a hood hauling freight, I said dam this thing rides like a Cadillac...compared to a cabover.

Cody Dixon, here are tips for getting/keeping good drivers. 1st, turn the speed of the truck wide open. Turn the horsepower wide open. Add stove pipes. Deck it out in chrome. install at least a $2500 seat, Deck it out in chicken lights, and a bug shield, and a large chrome bumper, and chrome rear fenders. Add designer wheels. I've seen small fleets around here do this, and only paid the driver $500 a week, and dont even hold taxes. He never has problems getting drivers.

You forgot one thing...cowbell!

If there is per diem on top of that, not too bad considering minimum two years experience.
 
Good pay, newer trucks that aren't skimped on maintenance, respectful of drivers, and as long as it isn't a freightshaker, international or volvo it gets my attention. There's of course more a guy looks at but if those characteristics aren't there to start then I'll look no further. Coming from a family of truckers I've been driving for 24 years now, the last 15 with a company that keeps me regional, paid hourly with late model equipment along with other perks so I'm plenty blessed with no intentions of going anywhere. Of course I'm always looking to see what's out there.

Don't pay a driver $50 to unload a trailer, but pay a lumper $300. I never could figure this one out.

Yes that one is a head scratcher.

Some of these lumper services are actually in house where the delivery is being made. Would be easy for the trucking company to set up billing with them. But they keep it as is to annoy a driver to call to get Comdata information, so that they can fill out a Comdata check. Just hoping the driver will unload it for $50.

1). Driver drives.
2). Shipper & Receiver load/unload.

Their freight & their responsibility (expense) as it’s their dock/warehouse & equipment.
