Chameleon Vertical Antenna - 10-80 Meters

must be wrong link or maybe I got up too early:whistle: but they seem to be for different freqs (cham 10/6 / ebay vhf)(n)

Good catch, Woody. (y) It does say it's for a VHF radio.

The Chameleon Mil Whip is only good for 28-54 MHz when used alone. Both antennas would need to be paired with an extension for use on HF.

Yes the ad says VHF...

The antennas are exactly the same length.

The antennas are exactly the same diameter when comparing the sections of each antenna.

There are no loading coils or any other component that would alter the resonance of these whips.

Sweeping both whips with my analyzer, they react exactly the same.

They even have the same 3/8x24 adaptor at the base.

They are, however, $85 +/- different in price.

Well fiddle sticks! Wish I'd known that! o_O Would have saved some money. (n)

However, if I had it to do again, I'd not have purchased the Chameleon whip. I prefer using my steel whip instead. (y)

Belgium on 14.205! 75 watts. Chameleon rocks!

Actually, it's the the vertical that rocks for long distance. Even if it's only 4 ft off the ground. Never got these distances horizontal or with an inverted V.
