Chinese ammo???

Back in the day I shot thousands of rds of that norinco 7.62x39 and never even had a miss-fire.
 
You saying the Chinese are using IED's on us?

Is the barrel slugged or did the round clear?
It is possible; perhaps not likely . . .

There is no other reason that the two adjoining cylinders would explode like that. Not that I can see - anyway. If you have another explanation, I sure would like to hear it. Even the newest hi-velocity powders wouldn't cause the adjoining shell to explode.

Guys, unless the Chinese are loading Hornady XTP projectiles (NOT), those are handloads.

This one has been around for years. As stated above, it was either a double charge, wrong powder (both) or a squib load (no powder) that blocked the barrel on the previous shot.
 
It sure looks clean for the damage it took..I would think it would look more like the Gun below.
