Coax stripping tool

Actually crimp connectors are very good if you install them correctly.I was in doubt myself too and was quite skeptical but am now thinking of switching over too them. The MOST IMPORTANT thing is to use the proper installation tool. They have a ratcheting action and not simply a squeeze and done action and you have to use the proper die for the cable and of course use GOOD quality connectors such as Amphenol. Anyone that seriously uses crimp connectors such as the MANY professional installers and riggers will tell you a properly installed crimp connector is every bit as good or better than a solder type connector. It took years to convince me but it eventually did.
