Then remember your Pc-122 - the one with the broken mic jack?
You have a red TX lite because the PLL side of things is working..
But if the other half of the IF - that being the clarifier side (AN612 and or audio) you may have a older cap that failed or was put in the wrong way - look by the AN612 - check it's pins for voltage - especially Pin 6 when you TX...
Why does the Red LED work but IF quits, just that, it (PLL) doesn't check the other IF side - the thing when it TX's sends power the Mic feed too - that edge trace - along the front of the board under that ribbon cable - it loops to the PLL and around to the MIC side - by VR2 (SQ) - if it ain't all hooked up - Mic side won't work because it can't get power...
