Cobra 18 WX ST II (don’t laugh)

‘Nother clue:

Truck stops love these things. Every one I visited today was out. o_O

They all had the classic model but not the fancy pants version.

Dadgum, guys. Here’s the giveaway clue:

Has a port on the front for hooking up an iPad so you can talk on the radio and monitor your wattage, modulation, SWR and watch Breaking Bad on Netflix all at the same time. (If you’re handy with a soldering iron). :D

These radios I think are the ones only sold to foreigners. They are the ones affix five or six suction cup device holders to the windshield. At least one large enough to hold a tablet so as to watch Bollywood classics going down the highway (this is not a joke). Many, many cables grow from the dashboard area.

Clothing is standard baggy underwear, shiny version. White socks with at least one foot on the dash at all times.

The radio has a 12’ chromed hard cable. Can’t miss it.

I know you will make Pajeet proud. He will hear the characteristic squeal of that brand and know one of his countrymen is set to make a pronouncement. He sits up straight with anticipation.

I’ve thought it a Uniden 78 with another name.

I’ve only given away Cobras received in trade, never bought one, but I kept the Unidens.

My first was a Philippines Uniden PC-76 I had Clays Radio Shop hotrod for me 22-years ago (dual final conversion plus a full alignment). Never nothing but compliments.

Get a chromed case for that RK. Not as corny as it sounds.
Really works with that faceplate. Folks do a double-take thinking it’s something they’ve never seen. Ck Bobs CB, Raneys Truck Parts, Iowa 80, and Empire Chrome Shop for that item plus Chrome Mount bracket and the screws.

Then a case for mike. SS weave for cord. Wilson makes a Chrome case speaker (add WM or BHI DSP unit separately). EASTWOOD makes Chrome aerosol paint worth purchasing to hit the KL-203.

Even if you “don’t like” Chrome, it’ll make a helluva centerpiece on the bench.
