I have a question, I was looking inside my Cobra 21X 23 Channel radio and it looks like it has dual finals. Here is the scoop, On the rear left of the radio attached to an aluminum plate is two NEC C1096/L264C transistors. The transistors were covered with white heatsink compound and I had to clean it off the front of the transistors to identify them, I would not think Cobra would have left a mess like that stock. They also had blue lines across the aluminum tab that screws to the heatsink. I wouldn't think this is stock either. On the right side of the radio is another aluminum plate with one C2029/1 and one smaller C2028/2 both on the same plate. So in all I see 4 transistors in the radio that are attached to heatsinks with compound. I think the one on the side is the audio section. All of the "Cans" have red lines marked across them like someone wanted to remember where they were originally set. Can anyone tell me if it is a dual final radio and what should I expect for output from these transistors. I have never seen a radio set up this way. She sure is a screamer though.
Thanks,
