Commache Radio

How well is the Commache Black Hawk 10 Meter Radio ?? I guess i never paid any attention to this radio when it first came out. Thank You.

Supposed to be the same radio as the Magnum 257.
Should be decent for a base radio.
There are mods for it so that it can do 25.165 to 29.695mhz...

there's a saying amongst the amateur community that its the model 1011 because it was actually made for 11 meter operators and it was an attempt by swan to dupe the fcc. supposedly not very stable.
I'd do some research.

They are talking about a different radio, not the Swan/Siltronix.
