Checking out posts on a99 and other 1/2 wave antennas being tvi monsters. Is this true? I can't use an an antenna with radials. I checked out the maco V5/8 but those radials are out of the question. Are 1/2 wave antennas made of an aluminum or other metals any better at suppressing tvi? If so which one's. I really wanted fiberglass as the ones I owned in the past were low mantinance. Had a problem with my dipoles (my girl gave them both a haircut). I purchased a non penetrating antenna mount for the patio with two five ft masts and 8- 16x8x8 bricks that fit nicely in the n.p.m. I think there 26 lbs each. I couldn't mount the antenna on the roof so I'm going this route. Now all I need is the antenna. I usually do everything backwards so I'm right on point I once bought tires before I bought the car. Not joking. Thanks
