Congratulations Comcast; You're The Worst Company In America! - The Consumerist

After four rounds of bloody battle against some of the most publicly reviled businesses in America, Comcast can now run up the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and hold its hands high in victory -- it has bested everyone else to earn the title of Worst Company In America for 2010.

In a three-day, knock-down, drag-out bout with Ticket "Apollo Creed" Master, the little cable company that could showed just how badly their horrendous service, exorbitant costs, throttled internet and plans to acquire NBC Universal have ticked the Consumerist readers.

All that remains is for the Golden Poo to be delivered to Comcast HQ in the City of Brotherly Love. We fully expect them to set it in a place of honor in the lobby, where all guests can see it.

So, as a Comcast ISP customer, how do YOU feel.

No problemo here.
Internet speed is very fast when I download anything. Sometimes as high/average if 1,100kb/second. Download movies once in a while - a breeze. Thirty minutes or less for a 1.4gb movie - that's pretty fast. TV rarely has a glitch. Price for two computers/internet plus wide screen/HD basic service is about $100/mo. What is not to like? I don't understand this thread. Like to see them price their rates lower - some competition would help. Dish TV sucks - went that route for just one day - and then switched back. No joke either.

What's the rub?!?

ive had comcast and FIOS and fios is much more dependable , in fact i never had any problems with FIOS . comcast doesnt like to play nice with routers and ive just gotten use to the fact that once every 4 or 5 weeks i have to completely disconnect all power and signal lines and wait a little bit , then reconnect everything and wait for it to all boot back up together . i just got a new HD_DVR 2 days ago and its already freezing up here and there and and i get random digital noise lines and pixilation . their service people are never on time and the folks at their "tech support" are just reading scripts and rarely have any idea how to solve a problem .

so yea , COMCAST SUCKS!!

thankfully verizon is finishing up laying the fiber optic lines in this neighbor hood so it shouldnt be too long till we get to enjoy the much more dependable and artifact free FIOS service . :)

Yeah my connection is still on copper but the fiber is laid and decoder is installed, just waiting on tech to do their thing inside. maybe early summer.

Time Warner Cable here. No complaints about service recently. When we first got setup on their broadband cable it was a little glitchy at first, but their techs came out and fixed up pretty quick. The only thing I don't like about TWC is their pricing. We currently pay about $105/month for internet and basic cable TV combined. The part of this I don't like is that when we signed up with them, we had promotional pricing for the first year for home phone, dig. cable, and high speed broadband internet. Well the year came and went and we called them to review the new pricing for the same bundle.

$174 month! @%$^ THAT

We cancelled our home phone and just use our cell phones now. Still getting bent over for the internet and basic cable though (not dig cable either, basic plug it into the wall cable)...

all I do is argue with comcast seems they are always changing the packages they have and the prices ...now i'm having problems with the new adapter boxes they have ..seems all I do is sit on hold for 10 to15 minutes then when they get to me they send me somewhere else and then go on hold again ..finally the other day I told the preson on the other end I was sick of this shit..and told them to tell comcast to go f themselves ..well it made me feel good for a little while any ways..but comcast and all cable companies suck ..its about the almighty dollar that it ..but they don't want you to think that ,so to you they preach customer service for the smoke and mirrors for the public to see.its about money money and more money..ok i'm done

Upload speed sucks...download not bad though. If I wanted to waste another 14/month I could get up to 12 mb/s faster...
But you more than likely would still have the sucky 0.49 upload speed but hey remember it's all about their satisfaction and not yours.

BTW FWIW my ip is coming today to connect the fiber optics, or maybe
