I have a old Cobra 29 out in my work shop using a Wilson 1000 mag mount on top of a tin roof. I normally just listen but sometimes will talk to a couple of guys as they drive by.
Tuesday evening the CB band was open for a few hours so I switched to ch. 28 and heard 799 in FL calling CQ and know one answering him, so I thought what the heck so I called out to him and he came back to me! I was only running 4 watts!
