I just spoke to a manager I know at my local Publix and she said shes seeing a slow down on customers "stocking up" in the last few days and expects to be caught up by the end of the week barring any major corona flare ups or bad news from the media.

You probably need to blame HR or whoever's the dumb ass who didn't want to accept a sic out phone call. That is probably the case.

Companies regularly dont believe employees about being sick. Usually on a Monday, it's "Brown Bottle Flue" from FunDay Sunday.
