I have bought and sold items on Ebay for a few years. Most of my transactions have been smooth.

Recently, I have listed some items on Craigslist. I gotta say, there's some downright stupid morons on there. Scamming SOB's try to rob ya blind.

Oh well, I'm done venting.

Craig's list ??????????

Last year I listed my base on there and a fellow said he would buy it for $350.00. But he said his pick up agency has other things in the area to be picked up. So he sent me a Credit Union check for $2700.00. I went right to the bank cause something wasn't right. According to his emails there was three different addresses involved. The bank said to call the better business beaure and they said they had a number of complaints about Craigs List. The bank said SCAM !!!
That was the end of that. I didn't lose nothing.
I'm glad I had enough sense not to send him any money like he wanted.
So watch out on Craigs list!!!!

That old scam has been around for years on just about any swap shop site, not just Craig's list. Every now and then someone on QRZ.com gets to deal with it.

The main thing I encounter is morons trying to offer idiotic trades of useless junk items. No matter how explicit your post is they still have to try.

I will never travel to meet any prospective buyer anymore . Been burned by a couple no shows. So, it's come to me from now on. And not to my house either. Don't need these weirdos knowing where I live.

Of course, I always receive the BOT emails asking if the item is still for sale. If you reply, you automatically get spam mail about some other bullshit, so I never post my email anymore.

I believe the majority of Craigslist shoppers are bums and have no money to buy your crap anyways.

i have sold numerous items on craigslist .if you know how to weed out the BS its not that bad .i have seen all the scams .
i just hit the delete button on those and move along .if someone is serious about buying they will leave a call back number .but beware of numbers that dont appear to be in your area .
a number can be a scam as well to dupe you out money with some extravagant call charges.
i have seen it all.
you gotta get up pretty early to get one by me!

I have bought and sold a lot on craigs list. Never any radio stuff though. I know the hack that does most of the "world renowned" tuning around here and don't want anything that has been remotely close to that exit on I-12.

Always remember that NOBODY is your friend when they are trying to sell you something.
