Crooked inductors?

The only inductors that I don't want to see 'wonky' are the inductors in the 54mhz trap circuit. They should be unmolested, as this molestation makes that circuit ineffectual. I've repaired some of his work before, so I wish he would make sure they are working as designed.

As long as the other tuning coil cans are working, it doesn't make one iota of difference as to how they appear, wonky or not.
End of rant . . .

He made me a good offer on a radio I sold on ebay. I declined his offer because I didn't want his hands in it. :ROFLMAO:

When I was a bench engineer for a company that used to repair videogames in the 1980s it was a valid test technique to find faulty ICs. It still is.

When I was a bench engineer for a broadcasting company it was valid for finding defective IC's as well but certainly NOT for shorts. How was he going to feel any heat build up when his video showed the power supply shutting down due to current overload? Guess ya missed that part. :D I suppose he could have use an unfused connection to a car battery.

Just going to let it heat up to figure out where the short is....

That's funny *hit right there! Rather than using test equipment to figure out where the power is making it just feel for heat.
