Another rig that really floats my boat is the Madisons modified by LC, and others such as Unit 75. Nice, nice. Would love to see something like that in production today.
All these posts full of good suggestions, I just can’t believe nobody....has yet suggested led lights that change colors jeweled chrome knobs. Custom decals... and echo lots and lots of echo lol

Grant type guts with good RX, Galaxy Meter for size, 6 digit freq counter, variable power via knob, open clarifier or a simple RIT, good NB/ANL and hi cut option just in case. Loose the menus, use the standard 4-5 knobs. Dual finals (not 3-4 finals lol). 10-12 meter would be good. 1 jumper to change modes. Maybe a talkback switch and no roger beep crap.
Picture a Galaxy 86V of sorts with Grant guts and stability. Add an extra digit to that freq counter.
