I don't care for privileged athletes, but in this case she started it and learned a lesson.

I think it could have been handled a bit differently. First make no mistake I believe she started it from what we can SEE however we cannot HEAR what may have been said. It looks as if she stuck her ass out to the left as he tried to get to the bar, perhaps in a move to simply get over or maybe in an attempt to block him. He could have said something insulting....we don't know. In any event I am quite sure a football player was in no mortal danger from a female bar fly and things went south REAL fast.

Yes it could have been handled different and she should have been arrested also.
Most gals get happy when they are drunk and some gals act like cu#%s, this girl was the latter.
The player should have been suspended from the team for underage drinking and not thrown to the curb permanently.

The bars that I used to go to had bouncers that would have stopped that before she took a swing. The bartenders appeared to not care one bit, which makes me think she may have been being a pain.

No telling what was said... that's what I hate about these kinds of videos. And I think he could have handled it differently.

she didn't hit him until he grabbed her wrist.

I am in Florida, and what the news media is saying is that the football player is at fault.

We only got to see a small clip of the video but apparently, once again according to news media, the football player grabbed the girls arms/wrists for whatever reason not yet known. In this state that is an act of aggression, thus the girl had every right to try and defend herself, stand your ground law per say.

Initially the player was suspended from the team until completion of the investigation.

Now it is being reported he is definitely kicked off the team as in terminated.

Kid was a first coast high school football player standout so the local news media is all over this story.

I am sure there will be more to come, as well as some perhaps incidents in his past if the media cares to dig up the dirt.

As for the bouncers and bars, FSU is known as a party college for a reason.

Previous vid makes it look like she's there with the guy in the glasses. It is pretty clear in this video that she bulldogged her way up to the bar at the same time as the athlete, and was blocking him from getting to the bar. If you look closely, he is not groping her, but hanging on to the edge of the bar to keep from being knocked away. Again, we don't know what happened leading up to this point. I still don't think he should have hit her, but to me this video shows more of a reason for him to be so upset.

Yeah after having a better look he did not simply push her right hand away but rather grabbed it and forced it down. She yelled something at that point and then punched him. Had he simply kept his hands off her and been the man and apologized for pushing and crowding her things may have ended a lot differently. Then again it IS a bar and anything can and does happen no matter how polite you may be.

Local news reported today the college athlete's attorney is claiming he was provoked and was kneed in the groin so he re acted in self defense
