Digital Encrypting?

Socialist police state....how do you feel about the way this country is heading?
If the police are secretive about their activities....pretty easy to avoid accountability.

I guess if I was going to serve a warrant, do a drug raid, or enter a building in a hostage situation I kinda might want some secure communication. As far as main dispatch channels, most of that is public record anyway so no biggie if that traffic is left open. I would hardly call some secure channel a "police state" lol.

Our public safety encrypts everything.

Let it be encrypted. If it is secure comms, then the undesirables will not be able to "listen in". The authorities can do their job knowing whatever is discussed " Over the air" is not being intercepted.

Of course with the right equipment any encrypted signal that is transmitted can be deciphered.

In the words of Forrest Gump " That's all I got to say about that."

Yep....and criminals will be the ones who will pay the big bucks to have that equipment.
