Is that lincoln running clean?Lincoln 2 plus with an old Toshiba x force 1x4. 1x2sc2290 x 4 2sc2879.
I just had it tuned up about a week and a half ago. There is no reason it should not be. It is only modded for 11 meter and I had it set from 1 watt to 45 watt so I would be able to key low with rf pwr all the way down.Is that lincoln running clean?
I need that kind of problemLack of a low pass filter on the amp output. There are very very few CB amps that have them, which means nearly all CB amps run dirty and cause all kinds of interesting problems. I had a mobile setup that could turn certain streetlights on and off once long ago........
I was wondering about that considering the 2290 is only rated at about 70 watts out, if I am at full modulation hitting it with more than half of its total power output ability, I have to be overdriving it.The driver in the 1x4 amp is being overdriven by the Lincoln. It's really meant for a stock cb. Turning the peak power down on the radio should help. Turning the mic gain down might be worth a try too.
Upon just checking it is only with the amp on.does it happen when the amp is off?
