Yes, I have one operating on my bench.
It took quite a while for it to obtain a GPS signal. Antenna needs to have a good, clear view of the sky. It needs to be on for a couple of days for the internal oven to stabilize the temperature.
I have it running into my Fluke 7220A frequency counter for reference.
I also use it in place of the WWV signal out of Boulder, Colorado. Because I do not always get a strong signal from Boulder.
Seems to work well for me.

Would you happen to know if one date of Manufacturer is better than the other? EV blog has a listing but all foreign to me. Nice freq. Counter. I only have a 1911A.

Long as you’re not using one to sell people certified calibrations, they’re perfectly fine. You use this to do such and that would just be dishonest and certainly show a major lack of integrity.

Why you might ask, because they’re off like .001Hz or something close to that. And you couldn’t tell people you were doing dead-on certified and traceable calibrations using this.

Otherwise, yeah, they’re pretty good for ball parking it.

Yeah but what if you're in a desert somewhere with a big sky.
The sand may improve the signal
