DROP DOWN and POP-UP ADS ARE A PITA.

Ever since the redo of the forum site, I have been getting drop-down and pop-up ads whenever I'm on the site. In addition to being very annoying and covering up something I'm working on, I keep getting ads for online dating sites, porn and extreme right /extreme left political BS. Is there any way I can cancel this?? I never frequent any dating, porn, of political hate sites. so why an I getting this crap ???

Thought I was the only one continually fighting that drop down just to navigate around the site or to see notifications. Then you think it's gone only to rear it's head from the bottom of the screen....

One would think to get used to it but I haven't yet.

Tried ad blockers and different settings to no avail.

Signing in from a desktop using Firefox with Adblock plus I never see ads or pop-ups. Are you signing in with a phone?
Of course I also use NoScript but on this site I'm only blocking anything Google.

I use GHOSTERY ad blocker on my computer & I don't see any.It's FREE & No Garbage from them.

I use Unblock Origin 3 and allow it access to this site.

I can't tell you the last time I looked at the site on a PC of any kind, mobile is the way for me to see the site. As posted above, I've got ad blockers and it's only this site and doesn't matter which browser.

That's also using the latest and greatest on Android too. Didn't happen before the site refresh either.

I've never noticed anything different while on this site, but from your description it almost sounds like you have some malware piggy-backed on the browser(s). It wouldn't hurt to d/l and run Malwarebytes just to make sure. Actually I think they used to let you scan a PC w/o putting it on your OS -

You can close the ad at the top by clicking the little arrow button, which makes it close to the top.

There aren't any adult content advertisers on the site - the only way they will show up is if there is a cookie on your own pc/phone from some other site you went to.
