Drugs.

You would have been better off with the Alford plea. You do not admit guilt but admit that there is potentially sufficient evidence for conviction. Sorry about your conviction.

Here is my story about drugs. I dabbed just a bit but never got crazy with it. My second oldest brother was a cop(A bad one) and was telling mom and dad I was doing drugs. He also knew a guy that my dad worked with and had him convinced I was pushing drugs. Well that was total bullshit. I never bought or sold any drugs of any type.
Now I would share in the bounty that others had and was willing to share. I decided it was time to have some fun with my brother the immaculate deceiver. I decided to take an artful approach. I made a spin painter from a small refrigerator fan and had a huge stash of florescent paints. I would take a syringe of paint and apply it to the spinning cards. Made beautiful star burst patterns that would glow in the presence of UV.
I covered three walls with the spin art and I used syringes to tack these to the wall.
It was beautiful and my mother's night mare. When she first saw it she thought it was beautiful too. Until the immaculate deceiver saw it. He was stomping around the house hollering about "I told you that F'n idiot was doing drugs.
He was a dirty cop. Took bribes, and graft and got the city of Austin in multiple law suits as well as the first ever sexual harassment law suit.
He also had a scam in which he would sit on the side of the Highway 183 on his cop motorcycle with radar gun in hand. He would wait for a car or pickup without a front license plate and pull them over. He would tell them the options, he writes a ticket and the have to show up in court, or he could arrest them and take them to jail to wait for trial. Or they could pay him the standard fines plus court cost and go on their way.
The guy who worked with my dad, his son was busted in possession of multiple kilos of heroin, marijuana, cocaine, and methamphetamine. I never said a word about all of that. His list of wrong doings that he blamed on me are very long and are all his crimes.

Been to treatment twice for alcoholism. Stayed dry for 9 years then one new years eve someone put a glass of champagne under my nose. Well that was the beginning of me back on the bottle. I am not as bad as I was but i love to drink Scotch.. And this fucking job makes it worse. I have seen it all and done it all in funeral service... 30 years of death everyday I am burned out!!

My neighbors got popped yesterday. Heard they sold to an undercover cop. Was told both were taken away in cuffs. The dude is a well known licensed contractor and his wife is a Nurse Practitioner. I've talked to them both on occasion. They are in their 40's and never would have suspected them. They best hope one or both get into a diversion program so they can keep their kids. Stupid as hell to risk careers like that.

Just other day, old friend called, we chatted for a few. Then he came out with another "Mike" story. I knew it. Was about time for ole Mike to screw up again.

Seems Mike was over here somewhere in TX, and got stopped sitting still. Boat launch, dirt road, or somewhere. Having Lousiana plates he stood out.

Had a machete in the car with him. Guess that was suspicious. Don't know the real story. But he said he was camping. Didn't jive with DPS. Upon search they find several fresh cut marijuana plants in garbage bags in trunk.

He somehow gets out on bond, goes back to Lousiana and claims he can't find an attorney. Skips the TX court appearance. TX files arrest warrant with LA. He learns of the warrant and skips town. Last known whereabouts, Texas. Dumb!

So now when DPS gets him, they'll expedite to LA for the warrant. He'll then be charged in Lousiana, expedited back to TX for warrant and court.

Dumb.

Back in my 20's Mike and I rented a 4 bedroom house. Mike was always late with the rent, I covered it....several times. He owed me about 3 to 4 months back. He was too busy playing high roller in a Datsun B210, spending his time partying in Hammond and New Orleans.

His ex unexpectedly moved in with a kid. Told Mike that wasn't going to work. She had no job or vehicle. I sure wasn't supporting her, and he was never there especially when rents due.

Told him he needed to pay up what he owes me. He always was trying to make that big score but couldn't keep his nose out of it. I would come home from work and have a house full of people partying and ultimately couch surfing. Shit was getting old.

Got up one Saturday and went about cleaning up a mess. Guess I was making noise and one of em got upset with me because they were trying to sleep. Got cocky with me. Bad idea.

Out comes the .357 in his face, and I quietly explained that this was my house and I will not take threats. Then loudly ran every God damned one of them......right off the hill.

Mike finally got up, wondering what the hell was going on. I explained that I had "cleaned the house". The place was a disaster. He looked around, obviously confused in his "brown alley haze". Laughing he asked what did i use to clean?
Out comes the .357.....I cleaned the house of all those POS's.

2 weeks later ole Mike got busted going across the Causeway to New Orleans and got busted with 8 ball, 2 triple beams, and other paraphernalia. All he had to do was throw it out, but always trying to make that big score, he owed someone BIG. Figured he could talk his way out.

He gets out under suspicious reasons, then I read in the paper about a bust in New Orleans with some of the same virmin I ran off from my house. He had rolled on them. Not sure how that boy ever lived after that.

Now back to my phone call with old friend. Seems because of "the Mike story" of current date, my friend had a visit from SWAT, Sherriff Dept, and DEA at 2 AM in the morning.

Searched the house found some roaches, arrested him, and booked him for "Processed Marijuana". The report was that there was 153 pounds at that location. Reported by a CI. This was in coordination with Texas DPS. So.......we now know how ole Mike got out from Texas and back to Lousiana. They believed his lies.

Sooo.....Mike is hiding in Texas, now that's really stupid.

That is the epitome of stupid. Both had good careers making good bank I'm sure.
Then they yank the carpet out from under the children and endanger the future for them.

I saw the wife today. Jail records show she was released yesterday. The hubby is still in. They used to show the charges, but not anymore. Wonder if she was involved or didn't know anything. I suppose she could be ratting his ass out. Lots to lose. I bet she makes close to 100K. I believe his his construction company employ's around 20 people.

The hubby is out on bond finally. Neighborhood gossip says he was trafficking in Cocaine and Extasy pills. I haven't heard anything more about the wife. Our local rag publishes grand jury stuff. Haven't seen her name mentioned yet. She's still working as a nurse.

Unless his attorney gets him off or cops a plea, he'll probably feel the burn. Our County is hardcore Conservative. Drugs aren't tolerated much around here.

Coke and X are old drugs. Coke and X were popular in 80's and 90's. Fizzled out I thought.
