with you being in Fl, I am surprised you are not familiar with that blue flag with one star, it is not a battle flag at all.

it is the "BONNIE BLUE" flag of the REPUBLIC of West Florida that broke away from Spanish West Florida.
this was a REPUBLIC, like the REPUBLIC of Texas, a free and independent nation.

Gotta a GREAT song to go with it! You could march from Galveston to Gettysburg in bare feet singin' this!

I did not know that.

Here in N East FL the panhandle is pretty much a separate entity from East coast.

Something to do about arguing which is the oldest city, Pensacola or ST Augustine.

Pensacola was settled and established before ST Augustine but not continuous inhabited.

ST Augustine has been continuous inhabited since established.

Both cities have plaques stating they are the oldest city in the USA.

The talk has went from not just the Confederate Flag, but also a bunch of other flags as well as the American Flag. Boy the band wagon hoppers are jumping on like the plague. It's funny to see the extent that some will go to for something that they probably don't have a well versed knowledge about! Especially politicians looking to make some money or get some air time!! Go hug a tree and be happy!!! If this is the way we are headed, we is in big trouble!!!
