So, if what you really mean is a "2SB817" transistor, that's an easy answer. The marking on the part usually leaves off the "2S".

But no, that one is not even close. It's a bipolar junction transistor (BJT), not a MOSFET.

I guess these too have been discontinued so I have heard. Trying to find a place that still has some in stock so I can buy a couple to hang on to. I have two radio's with the RFX75 on them and I want to be able to get them fixed should I ever blow a final. Any help would be great.

Good deal, I just scanned the post and saw no one could find them. Glad you did. Fortunately I bought a bunch of them when I bought some of the rfx-150's. Haven't hadn't to use them, but may use them to get some of the 75 kits back running.

Normally you see that part used in audio amps when paired with a 2SD1047 you can expect about 100w out of a pair per ch. You have to match them though because the hfe is all over the place with them anywhere from 60-240. I have not see anyone use that part for RF. I have seen them used in power supplies in the past.
