Yeah, it can bog someone down, that means you are not ready. Please don't push it.
Remember, you don't get "extra" points for getting a high score on the test - it's pass/fail. My advice is to skip the parts that are giving you trouble right now and move onto another subject. Then start taking the practice tests to see if you can pass, and if not, which sections you need to focus on.
Any local community colleges in your area have ham study classes? Might even be free depending upon your financial situation.

Please elaborate... I'm always open to different methods of accomplishing something.
You can always have the book and materials to refer to if you need any information......
BUT, to take and pass the exam test for the license, you only need to study the materials that are actually on the test. As you may know, the test question pool changes every few years. But the actual material never changes, only the pool of questions.......
So, I suggest the following.......
Study only the questions that can possibly be on the exam......

Free ham radio flash cards, practice tests, and question pools as well as introduction to ham radio and explanations for questions.

Then take your practice exams here. The format on this site is very similar to the actual exam......
Take the practice test over and over and over and over again....
The questions change each test, but the goal is to get used to seeing the correct answer to each question and block out the other three answers.
Keep at the practice test over and over again.
When you get to the point you can pass any test with at least 90% grade, then you are ready to go see your VEC and get your extra.......
DON'T study material that is not in the question pool........

@ Geoexplorer69:Coax question. I just put up a new Sirio monsoon base antenna with 100’ of rg8u coax testing with myMFJ antenna analyzer shows 1.4 swr at 26.965mhz and a 1.1 at 27.405 mhz . When I checked the ohms it’s steady a 30 ohms across the entire bandwidth.
