Can't believe ALL The LIDS operating FD SSB in the DX WINDOW from 50.105 - 50.124

I also noticed quite a bit of operation outside the General Portion too. Thought that was poor practice - sort of making it an Extra's Only FD area. I made the mistake once of not paying attention to the freq. and made a contact with a guy calling in the Extra Area on 20M. When I realized my error I went back to him a minute later and asked that the contact be cancelled as I was only a General and he said "nah .... don't worry about it, not cancelling on his end". I said okay, thanks. Guess he didn't wanna give up the point. LOL

only thing i wonder about,where are all you people at other times.radios off n nobody talks on them.sad too. not just 2 meter or 70cm but most of them and i mean talk not this get names n locations n move on?

Not just 2 & 440 ???? - you need to spread dem wings son and get on HF. That's where the action is.

I heard several of the 6 meter guys, making comment about the BIG 2 meter SSB/CW opening Saturday/Sunday mornings.
I never did turn my 2m rig on.

im not interested in jumping up to hf. Spent nuff on what i got now. And if i did id have a choice sleep with my dog or no radios.

Off the field day topic but... I just programed a Kenwood TK 981 and have a diamond vertical to put up eventually. A local has a GE on 900mhz.. we have chatted a couple times. Also a machine about 30 miles south of me I'm going to try to get into. Its an interesting band that I'd like to see more activity on.

TK 981 is a great radio. I have a few of those, as well as a couple of 481s.
