More important then some "tune" is the antenna system. I don't buy into fine tunes b.s., he is just stroking his ego. He is not doing anything special. Other then selling his overpriced services with a sh$#y attitude.

His attitude does suck, but I have learned from him over the years and have spent money for his services on radios,

All,
I am sure that no one has asked my opinion but I am going to state it anyway. (Seems to be the thing to do lately)
If you are "advertising" on Facebook or posting videos on YouTube, you are engaging the public by these "Social Media" forums. If you cannot deal with the public, that you have engaged by Facebook or YouTube, your attitude and skills are subject to interpretation. After all, "you" put it out there. If you are "Socially Advertising" you open yourself to critique from those you advertise to.

Just because you have a Facebook account or YouTube account does not make you a credible person nor an expert. I always operate under the "Believe what you see, not what you hear" mentality. As stated, I have not had any experience with this person but just because it is stated on Facebook or YouTube does not make it a "take it to the Bank" deal for me.

riley Parratt,
I have a "as sold" Realistic TRC 49 from 1974 that has been "heard in DX Land". That does not make Radio Shack the "best Tech" in the business. Just the luck of Mother Nature.

Just my 2 cents(OK maybe 3 cents).

Have a great day.

If you ever chose to work on this type of equipment for a living and you happen to have an oscilloscope and know how to use it that would automatically put you in the top 10% of radio technicians from coast to coast since virtually none of them have a clue what an oscilloscope is used for.
I my self have been to most Cb shops around the country. I have only seen one that actually use's the O scope and that is being finetune cb. A few have them but just for looks. Dubes CB shop had one, he actually had it hook up I did buy a radio from him once while he was doing his tune on my new radio the O scope was hooked up, all I seen was a bunch of flat waves. On my trip back I stop and had Mark redo it and it hasn't been touched since..

Honestly what matters is the elevation of your location

I have had 5 radios tuned from him all of them have been heard in DX land even my base station was done from him. He does do good work!! He is all about business and nothing else. Even in my diesel wagon I run a barefoot radio and still talk DX with it and its no pompus radio at all..

Means absolutely NOTHING. I have run ONLY factory stock-tuned radios and ALL of them have sounded great and have worked PLENTY of DX and that's going back as far as 1977. Only mods done were frequency expansion and I did those myself. Mark is not the be-all-to-end-all a select few think he is.

Great tech I just want him to fix my radios right not go on a date so I don’t care about his people skills but the guy knows what he’s doing. Nothing magical just good thorough work do that I pay him no more needs to be said.

I can point out a few others that have proper test equipment. Unfortunately those guys will follow a service manual and get it as close as they can and then blame the radio manufacturer for its limitations instead of blaming themselves for not being able to re-engineer the radio to surpass its limitations, especially when it comes to audio quality. Watch out for those people that say a certain radio will sound a certain way because that means they are incapable of making it sound the way they want it to sound.
