FM

As a follow up - which channel would you want as the unofficial CB FM calling channel?
Channel 1 would be my pick. For some reason it’s often the quietest or least used channel during heavy skip conditions in my area and it’s far enough away from the splatter boxes on 6.

Aside from shooting fm into a dummy load, never have I ever even tried over the air. Could be something cool and might even see what's out there next time the station is running.

I can't wait to hear about all the complaining when dudes switch to FM and start smoking amplifiers...

That being said, I welcome it...

But you know what ever the manufacturers paid the FCC to legalize it is pocket change compared to what the will make by not having to manufacturer radios for the US only market

All the current "exports" would still be illegal for use so it will be up to the mfg's to produce legal FM radios.
I've heard Cobra is pushing for it. They probably already have a radio waiting in the wings, ready to go into production upon approval.

I can drive over to their HQ and ask, it's only about 15 miles from me but they really know nothing about their CB crap.
