This is not bitching it is intended for information only.

I often see screens flash and jump. Sometimes during this jumping around my key storks don't register. The forum is really slow at times...and then I just close it down.

Slowness is the ebay ads acting up again. I disabled them to speed things up.

Moleculo, the forum is acting up again.

I also see more and bigger ebay ads and they are slow to load. Is there something I can do to avoid ads?

I guess I'm just too old and cynical to accept much change anymore.

I have been telling you this for a couple years but you keep bitching about not wanting to do that and that you want to see everything. Sorry if that sounded rude but it wasn't meant to be. It was simply the truth. Use an ad blocker. It only blocks the ads and not the page contents. Like I have said many times I use AdBlocker Pro. Available free and works GREAT. I see no ads pretty much wherever I go. Some pages on some sites (like FaceBook) will show nearly 100 ads blocked from popping up.

In the mean time I'll see if I can get Ebay ads turned off until the problem can be remedied but no guarantees.

Call me absent-minded, but I don't remember anybody suggesting I should be using an ad-blocker. And, I'm surely not asking the forum to shut down a possible source of income, if that is the suggestion.

Sorry I woke you!

Get off the "sorry I woke you". In the past we have turned Ebay ads off until the bug is fixed. I was talking about every time the forum slowed down in the past, and Robb as well as Gamegetter complained as well as a couple others, I suggested using Ad Blocker Plus and you berated me because I said I had no problems with the forum and basically called me a liar when I said I had no problems with it. Ring a bell now? In ANY event run an Ad Blocker. It will save grief on any and all websites. You can enable or disable it with a simple click of a mouse and you can white list certain sites so it will automatically be on or off depending on your preference. Sorry if I seemed short but I just get tired of giving good advice and then having someone complain because they didn't take it that's all. I just went thru a bunch of bullshit dealing with that at work yesterday with a new guy. I understand that you are getting forgetful and are set in your ways but you should REALLY run ad blocking software.

I use "Ad blocker plus" (ABP) which is a extension app on Google Chrome and it works just fine here...blocked 3 pop-ups just while I made this post!

If you are using Google Chrome, just click on the 3 dot's in the upper right hand corner of the screen, then click on "more tools", then click "Extensions" and look for "Ad Block Plus"...once downloaded a little red stop sign will show up on the browser and let you know how many pop-up's it has stopped. It can also be disabled on sites you don't want to use it.

Same as in Fire Fox which is what I use. yes it is Ad Block Plus not Ad Block Pro as I said earlier. It is available either as a stand-alone or I think now it is included as an extension in Fire Fox. Click on TOOLS then Add-ons and it should be there.

I've scaled the ebay ads waaaay back because they act up sometimes. Marconi, you're a Premium Member so you see even fewer ads than regular members, but sometimes ebay just doesn't play nice.

Usually the ebay issue clears up pretty quickly, but if it doesn't, I'll disable them until they do.

Thanks Tim. I was looking for that option but couldn't find it hence my SOS call to you. I assume only you can do that. Thanks again.
