FREQUENCY AND TIME FOR CONTACTS

I could hear WDX226, but just barely. Not a noise problem, just no conditions to Texas. Half hour later I talked to 1818 Austin TX., for a solid 20 minutes.
Heard another WDX station calling me, but couldn't get his number. I'll be back on this afternoon.

399 I heard you in the mix there yesterday while I was puttering around the shop. You were way down under a couple other stations though !
HUGE wind and rain storm here last night. Antennas all stayed up so that is a relief. We're on a fairly remote island, so our power outages often stretch into multiple days. It's been off since last night but not to worry as we're well set up with generators and many gallons of gas. Hoping to get on the radio a little later this morning; hope to contact some of you one of these days !

Man yall are making me jealous with the off channel stuff. I packed up my exports to make room for the FT710 sposed to arrive today. Maybe by tomorrow if I figure it out and get it converted tonight I can hang with yall.

Must be the weekend, every channel seems to be full of idiots today. 1111111 going strong on 38. Religious nut rambling on 39, General hate and discontent on 425, Political rants and arguments on 415.
Makes me pine for the old days when people actually had intelligent discussions on the radio, and just agreed to disagree sometimes in the name of all getting along and enjoying the hobby. Guess those days are done.

I was talking to 105 Michigan @ 11:30 but he's been my only MI contact so far. Conditions for me seem to be getting worse.
I'm working in the radio room today and I'll be parked on USB 425. Listening...
Incorrect Sir. Supposedly these days exist on the ham band.... or so I'm told.

You may be disappointed Lonestar. Plenty of hate and discontent on the ham bands these days too. Plenty of old, sick, bitter geezers on there. There is a lot more space on the ham bands to get away from it though.........
