FS. RCI 2970

This is the 2970 that is not a DX or N2 model. Took it in on a trade. Its a little rough looking but not too bad. It has the orange display and the heat sink is gold in color. Don't know why. I thought they were black. Its been modded to have talk-back and who knows what else.

On AM it works just fine but on SSB it sounds horrible. Probably a golden screwdriver has been in it. Hey, maybe that's why the heat sink is gold. ha, ha.

The channel selector works but sometimes goes up and other times down. Not too sure whats up with that. I have no power cord I can sell with it or RCI 6-pin mic. Just the radio. I just don't have the time any more to mess with it being spring is here. I drive way too many hours a week as it is so not much time for anything else right now.

Display is fine. No discoloration or black spots. The top cover is from a side mic radio.

Not sure why i didnt even get one offer. I have a friend that wants a high power cb. He dont do ssb. I guess i could make him one with this amp board, heat sink and cover. Now to dig thru a pile of radios to find one with the right size chassis.
If someone makes a reasonable offer in the next week it will still be up for sale but after that ill frankenstien a radio with it. Dont have any use for it myself.

I just don't have the time for playing with this radio. So the final cost for you to own this rig is going to be 150.00 plus shipping. I'm thinking shipping will be around 20 bucks because of it size. It wont fit in a cheep mailing box so it will need to be packed up and mailed the old fashion way.
