No, I haven't updated it. I bought an anan 100 a few years ago and don't use the 1200 much.

I didn't know what an Anan 100 was and had to Google it.

Im looking to get a new HF rig . I’m undecided between 4 radios . The Yaesu ft991a , ftdx1200 , ftdx3000 and the Icom IC7300.
Looking for opinions , pros and cons on the radios listed above and which one would you buy and why .

I Just sold my 991A last week. I did not really like using it. The waterfall wasn't touch screen, the menu system was MEH, and most of all, the receiver was "tiring" to listen to for any length of time (noisy/harsh) and that's what I thought about hat.

He repeated over and over, that he liked the 7300 screen better because it seemed "faster" and "clearer",...........
All in all, this is just a "feel good" type vid.

The only issue I have with some of his stuff is that in the beginning of a video he may tell you how unbiased he will keep it, then proceed to insert bias throughout the review. Or maybe I'm just to sensitive...

I ended up going with the FTDX3000. I love it .Its probably more radio than I need for now but i plan on getting years of use out of it . Definitely don’t regret my decision.
