Fun Morning on 6m 11.27.17

Lot's of RadioFun on 6m from 11:30z- 13:00z
Grids worked:
Minn: EN26...2 Stations
Mich: EN71
FLA : EM60... EM80...EM90
LOU: EL39
Penn: FN20
OH: EM79...EN80
Several stations of course from Ind.
Lot's of Signals with big peaks from Meteor Scatter sometimes peaking S9 or more
Hoping this is a trend as we head toward the Winter Solstice.
All worked with 5 Element LFA/14 ft boom, at about 45 ft and HB amp

SB-220/1 Conversion...pair 3-500z's...roughly a KW..works pretty damn good...
Now if I could just get a better antenna up(like to have a longer boom) or get this up a little more...Maybe next Spring/Early Summer when my back heals up

Bunch on every morning 6:30 AM EST to 8:00 AM+ EST...10:30z...Best time 1 hour +/- Sunrise here in Indiana
This Group of Op's been very helpful and patient with this newbie to 6m.
(maybe 4 yrs on 6m) Started with just 100w and rotating dipole at like 40 ft.

Check the CW Beacon window from 50.010- 50.080...if your hearing beacons your way good chance band maybe open...Very spotty of late but just never know.
Lot's of Op's doing digital also check the DX cluster(s) for activity...
Call frequency 50.125 USB...The K8MMM group works 50.145 USB

OK I was thinking you had a modified SB-220 but when you said HB the thoughts of an amp built from scratch popped into my head. After I get the antennas up next spring/summer I will have the HB six element 6m yagi at about 70 feet and 100 watts. I hope to get that Larcan amp operational next year as well to give me an easy 1.2Kw. The amp works great on 6m however it needs to be wired with a T/R relay and wired up to a 50 volt 60 amp power supply I have. (sigh) so many projects and so little time.
