Fuse Replacement Guide

When i saw the image I posted the first thing I thought about was the fuse box in dad's garage back when I was a teenager. The door was open on a fuse panel for his welder and inside was one cartridge fuse and one............bronze bolt. It seems the bolt fit the fuse holder exactly and he had no spares and wanted to get the job done. The problem was that the job was finished months before.

I'm sure it will discharge but a what velocity?

That was the issue. With nothing blocking the casing the ammo went one way while the casing went the other. Because there was no back pressure there was not much velocity nor kinetic energy to either piece. Had the shell casing been prevented from dislodging and pressure been allowed to build up it would have been a different story.
