Galaxy 800

The folks who built those would score a skid of one type tube cheap, and design a production run around that tube.

From one production year to the next you might see 30KD6, 20LF6, or russky tubes with the bogus type number "8975" rubber-stamped onto them.

Those guys were opportunists, making the most of any quantity deal they could swing for buying tubes in bulk.

The model number alone doesn't tell you what's inside.
