looks like a nice radio ? (Maybe give the trusty 29 a run for it's money ?) I like the variable power feature . That was nice of Galaxy to do that for them out law CB'ers whom would like to put some fire in the wire without having to pay to have the thing detuned . Nice What kind of mod's you talk'in bout 15 ?

Thanks switchkit im also looking for a swingkit if they make one?? Thanks for info. I just got this radio from a friend, brand new still virgin lol. and was looking at doing some mods maybe a echo board or whatever just to get it talking. Any idea on what to do, was told this was almost the same as a 29. #15 in Cali.

why would add extra freq. to a am only radio?considering
most civilized cbers use ssb above ch. 40.seems like a waste
of money/time

The old Cobra 29 is tough to beat from what I've heard. However the next generation of DX919s should have the mosfets which will make them much better in the output power department.

Why ? Why not ! Civilized cb'ers ? Not sure I understand what you mean ? Extras are extras anyway I look at it , I grew up in DX land on lower AM only freq's , talked all over the world on them and made a hand full of friends while I was at it . 26.915 is one of the most popular freq's on AM only and has been for many many decades.

No15, you can buy the parts in a swing kit from radio shack for about $1.25 and install it in most any radio.
