Thank you . It’s a maylaysia made. Single final . You have an idea what final is in themSounds great on SSB but it's a galaxy and they love to drift until they warm up and will still drift a bit after warm up. I don't unlock the clarifier on many radios but on the 949 it was a necessity for SSB operation.

I believe it was even before 2010, maybe around 07 or 08 when the bipolar was switched to mosfets. It's when the 919,929,979 went to blue is how I remember it. Sure miss those pre-mosfet days with our 88hl or 99v'sIf it was made at around 2010 or older it will have a Mitsubishi 1969 final. If made after 2010ish or later it will be mosfet. I have a galaxy 959 made in 2004 with a bipolar final. The only mode is an alignment, it is surprisingly stable after being turned on for about 45 minutes to an hour, And being used indoors in a climate controlled environment. If you were to use one mobile on Ssb, then unlocking the clarifier might be necessary. Especially in extreme temperatures, you jump in the truck it’s 100 degrees outside, or at or near freezing, it’s not going to perform well on ssb
