got the radio in today and am impressed by the stability on ssb.

I m getting a 10w-50w dk on am, 110w swing and 110w swing on ssb as well.

The reading were using my Palstar wm150 on peak mode.

I like it so far.

The 50 watt deadkey is too high causing excessive heat for the DX94HP.

The max deadkey should be set internally with VR14 to approx. 30-35 watts.

Next using a test tone into the mic jack with MIC GAIN set to max. adjust VR16 for 100-120 watts.

Then set your RF PWR control to minimum and adjust VR18 for 5-10 watts deadkey.

Here's the link for the TX alignment to help you find the adjustments, http://www.cbtricks.com/radios/galaxy/dx94hp/dx94hp_adj.htm

I got a question, what is too low of a dead key? Is a npc mod ok for this radio?
